Cole and Dylan Sprouse on Ellen with Ellen DeGeneres

The Suite Life on Deck troublemakers Dylan and Cole Sprouse proudly wear their “Ellen” underwear on the outside of their pants as they appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday afternoon.

Cole, 16, dished to Ellen on his first accident. He shared, “Yea. I have an excuse though. Right after we got our cars, West Coast Customizers took them into customization and tinted all the windows and tinted the back windshield. I also have a spoiler on my car, which is a big fin on the back so it cuts off about half of the back windshield. I was backing up and it was partly because I didn’t look and it was night time. That’s the excuse I’m using. It was dark and I hit a $160,000 car.”

He continued, “This is probably the worst part — having to get out while my friend is in the car staring at me like, ‘What have you done?’ I had to get out and actually knock on the door to inform the nice person who is sitting inside watching TV, with his $160,000 car right behind mine that I hit it. It couldn’t have been any scarier either because I knocked on the door and of course, there are blinds on the door and he’s looking out the blinds, peeking at me.”

They were also asked about dating in which Dylan confessed to have been seeing a girl. We already know that. Cole however, is single. This prompted Ellen to ask whether they have the same taste in girl. To this they said, “Yeah, typically,” adding that they fight sometimes and the more pathetic one gets to get the girl.

The best moment of the talk was when Dylan theatrically suggested that Cole hasn’t dated in 4 years. That was a joke and Cole was pretty surprised but also amused.

I liked the look on Cole’s face when Dylan lifted the mug to compare that with the looking space on the car’s windshield. He was like “what the heck are you trying to do? Ahhhh..”

The Sprouses nominated at the 22nd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards

Dylan and Cole Sprouse won nominations for FAVORITE TELEVISION ACTOR at the 22nd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards.

In addition, Miley’s TV series Hannah Montana is up for Favorite TV Show, competing against iCarly, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Zoey 101.

At the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards 2008 Miley was pronounced Favorite Female Singer and TV Act.

Competing in the Favorite Movie Actor category are Jim Carrey (Yes Man), George Lopez (Beverly Hills Chihuahua), Adam Sandler (Bedtime Stories) and Will Smith (Hancock).

Carrey, Sandler and Smith, the usual suspects when it comes to kids movies, feature in the list of celebrities who have been slimed at the event.

Jennifer Aniston (Marley & Me), Anne Hathaway (Get Smart), Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical 3: Senior Year) and Reese Witherspoon (Four Christmases) are competing in the Favorite Female Star category.

Miley’s competitors for Favorite TV actress include America Ferrera (Ugly Betty), Miranda Cosgrove (ICarly), and Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place).

Not unexpectedly (Thankfully?), Slumdog Millionaire, is not in the running for Kids’ Choice Favorite Movie award; the face off in the category is between Bedtime Stories, The Dark Knight, High School Musical 3: Senior Year and Iron Man.
The annual Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, held in late March or early April, honor the year’s biggest television, movie and music acts. They are voted by Nickelodeon cable channel.
The show features numerous celebrity guests and musical acts. In recent years slime stunts have come into the show.

Working on “Big Daddy” and Adam Sandler’s wedding

Sandler knew an important key to the film’s success would be his on-screen chemistry with the actors playing the adopted child. Because of child labor laws, identical twins had to be used to limit the amount of time either child would be working on the set.

To ensure the proper chemistry, more than twenty-five sets of twins were interviewed. The interviews consisted of Sandler and each set of twins playing together on the floor with popular action figures.

The chemistry worked best for Sandler with Dylan and Cole Sprouse, a set of six-year-olds.

When filming began, the Sprouse twins required the constant presence of their grandmother. Sandler encouraged her presence and even sought her approval. “I have some weird thing where I feel I need to be accepted,” he said. “Their grandmother would come up and kiss me and that would make me feel better about myself. Then we could work.

Big Daddy opened June 25, 1999, to the usual array of negative reviews but with some reviewers taking note of Sandler’s efforts to mature his screen persona. Another criticism concerned many of the activities Sandler’s character and his young charge indulge in for the sake of comedy. They run the gamut from public spitting to the larger issue of Sandler falsifying his identity to adopt the boy. If Sandler had done in real life what he perpetrates in the film, it would be considered a criminal offense.

The greatest criticism did not involve either the story or Sandler’s performance. It centered on the poster used to advertise the film. The poster depicted a scene from the movie in which Sandler and one of the Sprouse twins urinate together on the side of a building. Some critics felt that with Sandler’s popularity among young viewers, it would encourage such unsanitary behavior. “I guess I understand,” Sandler said about the controversy. “Some cities don’t like it. But I got to let some cities in on a secret. I think people pee on streets even without my little poster.”

On June 22, 2003, Sandler and Jackie Titone were married in Malibu at the oceanfront estate of popular TV personality Dick Clark. Four hundred guests
were invited to witness the Jewish ceremony in which Sandler wore a tuxedo and a white yarmulke, a traditional head covering for men during religious services.

The ceremony was not completely traditional, as touches of Sandler’s trademark humor were apparent. The bride was preceded by Sandler’s bulldog, Meatball, who also wore a yarmulke and tuxedo as he lumbered down the aisle with the wedding ring on his back.

The bride gave the groom a mate for his dog, a female bulldog named Matzoball. Following the ceremony, Sandler serenaded his bride with a song he wrote for the event, very much like Robbie Hart in The Wedding Singer. Dylan Sprouse, costar of Big Daddy, commented about the song. “He sang her weight and how ‘she’d rather not be with me except in a mall.’ She was laughing and crying,”.
